Shueisha or Shueisha Publishing Co., Ltd. is a Japanese manga publishing company based in Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan.
History[]
The company was founded in 1925 as an entertainment publishing division of Shogakukan (Another Publishing Company). The following year, Shueisha became a separate, independent company from it.
Magazines published by Shueisha include, Weekly Shonen Jump, Weekly Young Jump and others. Shueisha, along with Shogakukan, own VIZ Media, a company that publishes manga from all three companies in North America.
Shueisha owns the Jump magazine line.
